Thanks for your interest in Private Events @ Old Westbury Gardens. Below you will find answers to questions you may have regarding hosting an event with us. For PRIVATE events inquiries only and date availability, please contact our in house caterer THYME EVENTS by EMAIL, and someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

CAN I HAVE MY WEDDING/EVENT at WESTBURY HOUSE (The Mansion)?

The Westbury House permits wedding photography, however the mansion is not available for private events or non-corporate receptions.

WHAT OTHER SPACES ARE AVAILABLE FOR EVENTS?

Orchard Hill House is available for weddings and private events. Both indoor and outdoor events are possible with the addition of a tent. Orchard Hill interiors can accommodate up to 70 guests for sit-down meals and more for non seated receptions. For exteriors, the landscaped grounds of Orchard Hill can accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated meal, or up to 130 people with room for a seated meal with dancing. The area can accommodate a 40' x 60' tent which we strongly recommend.

The Barn can accommodate up to 80 indoors and up to 125, with the use of a tent, on the grounds.

For larger events at both Orchard Hill and The Barn, a tent may be required in case of inclement weather.

WHERE CAN I HAVE MY WEDDING CEREMONY?

If you are interested in only a ceremony, The Garden of Appreciation is available. The Barn and Orchard Hill House are also available for your ceremony if you are hosting your reception on site. If you are interested in only a ceremony or onsite photography, please reach out to Old Westbury Gardens directly.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT THE SPACE?

Rates vary based on day of the week and time of event. See this link for current pricing. Please be advised that Old Westbury Gardens does not generally book more than one year in advance, as prices would be subject to change.

CAN I JUST RENT THE SPACE AND BRING MY OWN FOOD OR CATERER?

Thyme Events is Old Westbury Garden’s exclusive in-house caterer and will work closely with you to craft the event you envision. Should your event require Kosher or ethnic cuisine, accommodations can be made.

DO YOU HAVE PRICING FOR PACKAGES FOR THE VENUE, TENT, FOOD, BAR, RENTAL & STAFF?

As we not a traditional catering hall, there are two components to any event, Old Westbury Gardens will supply the venue and tent if needed and Thyme Events will work with you to create the Menu/Bar that you envision and will handle all Rentals and Staffing. Thyme Events works collaboratively with Old Westbury Gardens ensuring a seamless event.

DO YOU PROVIDE FLOWERS, MUSIC, PHOTOGRAPHY?

While we do not offer these services we are happy to recommend reputable local vendors. ​
